• Nifty After Fifty, Berwick Upon Tweed

Nifty after Fifty is a community dance group ran by Cheryl Stewart for dancers age 50+ living in Berwick. We have been working with them creatively, making ‘Waiting for a Hug’; a film due to premiere on 19 November at Berwick Maltings.

  • Alnwick Playhouse Youth Theatre, ages 9-11 years old

We are currently working on a response piece to ‘Waiting on It’ with young dancers associated with Alnwick Playhouse Youth Theatre, led by Sarah McLane. We have been working with them over 2 months and look forward to seeing them perform this at Alniwck Playhouse on Thursday 20 October.

  • MoveUP Tees Dance Aspiring Young Chreographers Co-Creation Project

MoveUP is a scheme created by Tees Dance to provide workshops and opportunities for aspiring young choreographers living in the Tees Valley. We are developing a new co-created work with the young choreographers which will see it’s premiere at Middlesbrough Town Hall on Thursday 1 December.

  • Schools and Young People

We work across the NE region with local schools and community groups. We have artists trained to deliver curriculum based work including GCSE & A-Level and have experience working with students with additional needs. We specialise in creative movement for all and can tailor our offer to suit the requirements of the group.

  • Further & Higher Education

We can offer a range of technique and creative classes, with a focus on dynamic, physical moving, moving from imagery and choreographic workshops. We can offer repertoire workshops, lectures and teaching training support including work placements.

  • Commissions

Beth Veitch Dance has a movement language that is embodied, physically challenging and always rooted from an academic stimuli. We welcome the opportunity to be commissioned to choreograph on other groups and offer an inclusive and tailored experience to suit the need.

  • Work Placements

Previously, we have offered work placements and shadowing opportunities to students in training. This has involved observing rehearsals, participating in R&D and receiving 1:1 support in beginning their freelance careers.

  • Artistic Practice Sharing

Collaboration is something we actively welcome and within this, we hope to provide the opportunity for creatives to support creatives. Previously this has looked like network sharing, skill sharing and offering a platform for new opportunities.
